Few people can write great lyrics, and on top of that, create amazing melodies, harmony and rhythms to it. Gregorio Uribe is definitely one of them. He is what I call a real Singer-songwriter. And as if this wasn’t enough, he also sings, plays guitar, accordion, percussion, drum-set and arranges for Big Band.
His new CD “Pluma y Vino” is now released. Although we usually perform in a Big band setting, he decided to record more of an “Unplugged” album, in which he plays most of the instruments with some guests. I feel lucky to have been part of it, specially after so many concerts that we have done together playing this music. I have also played with him many of these songs on the very fist time he played them live when we played as a duo, so I am happy to listen to the songs already finished and produced. They sound really great! You should definitely check his music out if you haven’t yet. Congrats Gregorio!
